A person who buys a coin to enter a play with the intention of earning virtual rewards in a metaverse game can be considered a gambler. In the same way someone who puts money in a casino in the hopes of getting a financial reward is a gambler, someone who enters a metaverse game with the intention of earning virtual rewards through luck or chance is a gambler. Gambling in the metaverse can involve virtual currency, virtual assets, or virtual goods. Gambling with virtual currency in these games poses the same risks and rewards as gambling with real money.
