❌ SCAM Web3Miner Scam USDT Crypto Cloud Mining Platform

Scam flagged website/app or resource
attachment

Web3Miner is a scam crypto cloud mining platform which operates in conjunction with a WhatsApp group claiming to show members achieving financial success.
Victims are lured in after receiving a ‘random’ message on social media from someone who then strikes up a conversation with anyone who responds, which they later turn into a relationship of varying degrees.
At some point, possibly weeks into the chat, the new ‘friend’ will mention crypto investing, possibly in an obscure way to encourage the victim to ask questions about it.
The ‘friend’ will then suggest helping the victim get involved in the ‘guaranteed’ scheme which will offer extremely high returns over a short space of time for purported cloud mining activity.
However, once the victim has ploughed a significant sum into the ‘investment’, they’ll find their account blocked and the scammers will demand huge additional fees to release their funds.
If they pay the fees, this money will be stolen as well, and the scammers will return with new reasons as to why money need to be paid to free up the cash.
Ultimately this will go on until the victim either runs out of money or stops paying.
How to spot the Web3Miner scam
There are many things that give this platform away, some of which are listed below:
  • The platform claims to offer cloud USDT mining. This is impossible as USDT can’t be mined.
  • The domain name is very new – a telltale sign a platform is a scam.
  • The platform’s design is very basic and amateurish.
  • Within the content there are multiple spelling mistakes and grammatical errors.
  • There are no social media platforms connected to the site.
  • There is no information about the company, team or any sign of a whitepaper.
  • There are numerous mentions of this site being a scam online.
  • The profits on offer are completely unattainable, especially given that USDT mining is impossible as mentioned.
I’ve been scammed by Web3Miner – what can I do?
Trying to get your money back from a crypto scam yourself can be a virtually impossible task.
There are also private companies that might be able to help which I’ve written about here.
