I first came across USDT-Miner via an ad on Facebook which just goes to show you shouldn’t trust anything you see online as it’s 100% a scam crypto mining platform.
When you visit USDT-Miner you’re immediately prompted to connect your MetaMask wallet via WalletConnect and can’t perform any other action until you do so.
But you can see enough of the platform to spot the usual rudimentary design and grand claims common among the scammers who produce these websites.
Do not be tempted to invest any cash or crypto on USDT-Miner as it’ll be the last you see of it. This is a scam designed to steal from unsuspecting investors who are perhaps naïve when it comes to crypto and don’t realise that it’s impossible to mine USDT (Tether).
How can you tell USDT-Miner is a scam crypto platform?
The fundamental problem with this site is that you can’t mine USDT (Tether). USDT-Miner has many other issues that are common among scam websites.
These include:
- Domain name was only registered a few months ago.
- The website owners identity has been hidden.
- The server is supporting many spammy websites.
- The USDT-Miner website prompts you to connect a crypto wallet immediately.
- There’s no information about the company or the team on the website.
- There are no social media channels associated with the platform.
- There are multiple reports online of USDT-Miner being a scam.
- Fake user outputs showing large profits produced by an automated script.
How does the USDT-Miner scam work?
Some people might arrive on the platform having clicked on the Facebook ad (which may be running on other social media platforms as well), while others might have been approached through WhatsApp or Telegram.
Either way, would-be investors are usually befriended by an agent or fellow investor who will quickly encourage them to invest in the platform with the promise of huge returns.
Often the ‘fellow investors’ will show proof of their profits, while hinting that the investment might not be around for long, so you need to get in quick.
Once you’ve sent funds, you may see fake profits quickly accrue in your account, but when you try to withdraw them the scammers will make up a reason why you can’t.
They’ll then ask you for more money, citing a variety of different reasons as to why they need this, such as to pay commissions or taxes.
However, any further cash you send them will be lost along with your original investment.
How do I get my money back from the USDT-Miner crypto scammers?
Getting your money back from the scammers is incredibly hard and not many people succeed in doing so.
But there are certain things you can try, which I’ve written about in further detail – see the links below for more information on this.
It’s important that you don’t lose hope – there is a chance, however slim, that you’ll successfully recover your funds.
