❌ SCAM Tour-rpboots-123 Tripadvisor Work Scam: Fake Platform Demands Payment For Credits

Scam flagged website/app or resource

The Tour-rpboots-123 Tripadvisor scam is one of many different variants of fake crypto ‘work’ platforms attempting to cash in on the legitimate travel giant’s name.
Like other, similar scams, the oddly named Tour-rpboots-123 focuses on getting people to carry out repetitive tasks, for which they’re initially paid a small amount.
However, each time they complete a task they need to refresh their ‘credits’ which they have to pay for.
Once they’ve amassed more ‘earnings’ the scammers demand a significant payment to buy more credits and ultimately release their earnings.
One victim who contact PawProfitForum Team was asked to rate travel destinations and hotels under the auspices of working for Tripadvisor after being contacted randomly through Telegram.
Initially they were able to withdraw a small payment, but the scammers started chasing them for money and a larger payment to buy credits to continue work.
Ultimately the scammers disappear with the user’s money and the site will shut down, only for another almost carbon copy platform to launch in its place.
What makes Tour-rpboots-123 a scam site?
There are a few things that should set alarm bells ringing if you visit this platform.
They include:
  • The domain name is very new – just a few week sold at the time of writing.
  • The scammers have deliberately hidden their details.
  • The nature of contact via a random message through Telegram.
  • The fact that you have to pay to buy credits in order to complete ‘work’.
  • The fact that you’re being asks to leave reviews for places you’ve never visited.
  • The large cash demands from the scammers after a short space of time.
  • Poor use of English and grammar.
  • No information about the company or the people behind it.
  • No official social media presence or apps.
In short, you should ignore any unsolicited approaches of this nature through Telegram or any other social platform.
Anyone who’s promising you quick returns for little effort then asks you for a substantial sum of money is clearly a scammer.
Can I get my money back from the Tour-rpboots-123 scam?
It’s highly likely that the site will have vanished in a few weeks’ time so tracking down the scammers is difficult.
There are private companies that might be able to help you track down your missing cash or crypto that I’ve written about here.
