Safe Crypto Wallet is connected with a number of crypto scams and used to fleece unsuspecting investors out of their coins.
A now defunct crypto scam platform – pipsprofits – was directing users to Safe Crypto Wallet and asking them to deposit Bitcoin and Ethereum which was allegedly going to be used in an investment scheme.
However, the scam victim that contacted me lost all the money they’d ‘invested’, and the scammers had broken off all contact.
Pipsprofits was also the front for a fake social media influencer who was claiming to be making tens of thousands of dollars a week through her self-developed investment scheme.
The sites involved were part of an elaborate scam whereby victims were promised huge returns for investing in crypto.
However, to do so they first had to convert cash to a crypto on a legitimate exchange before sending it to Safe Crypto Wallet, which was the last they saw of it.
What makes Safe Crypto Wallet a scam?
There are numerous reasons why this is a fake site, but here are few:
- The URL doesn’t match the name of the site – there’s an ‘o’ missing from crypto. This is tactic that scammers often use to make a site look legitimate by choosing a name very closer to a real company.
- The app store links go nowhere and redirect to the homepage. Having app store buttons is an attempt to make the platform more legitimate than it is.
- The domain name is very new, and the platform hasn’t had the chance to build up the user base it claims to have. Also, the registrants details have been deliberately hidden.
- There is very little content on the site and nothing to tell you who runs it, where they’re based or any company information.
- There are no social media channels associated with Safe Crypto Wallet – a common sign that a site if fraudulent.
- Judging by the basic design this is clearly a cookie-cutter website set up in a hurry with the knowledge that it’ll probably be shut down within a matter of months as people get wise to the scam.
If you do, it’ll be lost, and you’ll likely be pestered by scammers trying to get more money out of you.
