Maxim Dual Core BTC is a crypto scam involving the offer of fake software which claims to be able to spoof Bitcoin on the blockchain.
The site states that the software is able to “fake Bitcoin transactions” which will stay on the blockchain for 90 days.
Users can use it for a “flashing limit” of 500BTC, which is “transferrable within 10 different BTC wallets” and is tradable on investment platforms and mining pools.
The software isn’t real though, and anyone paying the fee to use it will lose their money instantly.
The website also features fake testimonials from supposed users, although it’s clear they’re not real and the photos have been scraped from elsewhere on the web – a common tactic of scammers.
There are many other things that reveal the website to be fake. They include:
- Fake social media platforms.
- No registered business address.
- Only a mobile phone number or Gmail address to contact support.
- Multiple spelling and grammatical errors throughout the content.
- A service that clearly couldn’t exist or the entire crypto ecosphere would collapse.
- The promise of ridiculously high returns.
