⍰ ASK How does France monitor and regulate electronic money transactions?

France keeps a close eye on electronic money transactions to make sure things are safe and honest. There are rules in the French code that EMI must follow and they need approval from the authority ACPR to work.

After approval ACPR keeps checking to make sure EMIs are following anti-money laundering rules. EMIs must have strong systems to catch suspicious transactions and if they dont meet the standards, authorities can give penalties or take corrective actions.
