Futuretrade247 is a fake crypto exchange and trading platform that’s scammed multiple victims across the globe.
Victims are usually approached through social media by people who at first befriend them before convincing them to invest in a get-rich-quick crypto investment scheme.
Once they’ve been lured in, the victims invest crypto such as the USDT stablecoin after converting cash on a legitimate exchange.
At first it appears as if they’re making a healthy profit, but they’ll find that if they want to withdraw their cash they’re blocked from doing so.
The scammers will claim that there’s a tax to pay, or make up some other spurious fee, such as a commission or taxes, and demand more money from the victim.
These demands will continue until the victim either stops paying or runs out of money. At no point will the victim get any of their cash back, or see any of their fake profits.
How can you tell Futuretrade247 is a fake website?
Just by looking at the website and reading through some of the pages it quickly becomes apparent that this is not a genuine crypto trading platform.
Here are some of the reasons why:
- Poor use of English and grammar throughout.
- Very new domain name, yet makes grand claims about the large number of clients using the platform.
- HQ address is given as a PO Box Service area in London.
- No social media platforms or links. The social media icons that exist just loop back to the FAQ page.
- FAQ page gives generic information, probably scraped from another website.
- No genuine information about who is behind the platform, or the development team.
