❌ SCAM Cme6677 Fake Crypto Platform: Scam Investment Offer Through Social Media

Scam flagged website/app or resource
attachment

Cme6677 is a fake crypto investment platform that operates along the lines of a classic pig butchering scam.
Victims are contacted at random through a variety of social media channels, often by people purporting to have a romantic interest in them.
They often develop the relationship over a number of weeks before turning the conversation to crypto investing.
The person (who is a scammer posing as someone else) then encourages the victim to create an account on one of the major crypto exchanges, before transferring funds to the ‘investment’.
Fake profits lead to demands for cash
To start with, the victim sees their balance grow and all appears to be going well, but if they try to withdraw their funds they’ll find their account has been blocked.
The scammers will start to demand fees to unlock the account before the funds can be transferred, but this is simply a ruse to con the victim out of more money.
The scam takes many different forms, but tends to start the same way where the victim thinks their investment is doing well before realising they’ve been conned.
What makes cme6677 a scam?
There are often many things that give these scams away, and cme667 is no different.
Red flags include:
  • A very poorly designed website, including poor use of English.
  • No online presence, such as reviews or social media channels.
  • No real company information on the website.
  • A very new domain name that includes the registrant’s details being hidden.
  • The promise of very quick profits with returns that are too good to be true.
Help – I want to get my funds back from cme667
One person who contacted PawProfitForum Team wrote:
“Two months of my salary is stuck here. I need help.”
Clearly this person has invested a significant sum in the platform, but securing the return of funds is very difficult.
Another victim wrote:
“Got fooled even though I used to take immense caution, this time fell prey for them since the initial rewards were so attractive.
It was based on Google maps review they told and for every 6 activities they rewarded. 6th one used to be a find transfer associated with a cashback which get stuck in their portal for which we need to get the withdrawal confirmation from them to get it back.
1st 5 activities used to be just Google maps review which they ask is to do for some random establishments. This they try to make us believe that we are getting rewarded for the maps reviews.”

There are private companies that might be able to help which I’ve written about here.
