CCF Markets – or Canary Conlay Futures as its also known – is a scam crypto, shares and commodities platform that gives the impression of being legitimate but is in fact operating fraudulently.
PawProfitForum Team has received several reports from people who’ve invested money on the platform only to find their accounts blocked after a while.
If they contact support they’re told they need to pay a fee to release their funds but no matter how much they pay, new charges will keep on following and their money will never be released.
It seems that the scammers are using social media to target victims by contacting people at random in the hope of striking up a conversation.
If the recipient of the message is compliant, they’ll gradually form a relationship with them over a number of weeks before casually mentioning crypto or other types of investing and the CCF Markets platform.
They’ll tell the victim that they know people who are making large returns from the platform and that it has a guaranteed success rate of trading, which of course is impossible.
Other red flags about the CCF Markets platform
Although this platform is not the worst scam trading site we’ve ever seen in terms of design, it certainly isn’t the most professional looking.
Here are a few things that give it away:
- The domain name is very new – a good indicator that it’s a scam platform.
- There are many grammatical errors within the content of the site, and a lot of nonsense wording.
- It uses a plugged-in trading platform that is not part of the company itself.
- There is very little real content on the site, with even the about us page vague on detail.
- The purported service is not registered or licensed anywhere.
- There are numerous reports of the platform being a scam online.
- There is no company information, fees statements or other crucial information that you’d expect on a financial platform.
- There are no social media platforms connected to the site, something all reputable firms would have.
- There are no official apps either – again, mobile apps are offered by all legitimate firms.
I’ve been scammed by CCF Markets – what can I do?
The first thing you should do in situations like this is report the platform to the authorities.
Actually retrieving your funds from a scam platform is very difficult though as the fraudsters use a wide variety of tactics to hide their identities.
There are also private companies that might be able to help which I’ve written about here.
