Apex Wealth (apexwealth24) is a fake crypto trading platform which is being used to scam would-be investors out of their cash.
Fraudsters are using the site to convince their victims there is a genuine investing opportunity available that offering high profits over a short space of time.
They are running a WhatsApp group in conjunction with the platform where victims are encouraged to add increasingly large sums to their account while being shown a fake balance to make it look like the trades are successful.
However, if the victim tries to withdraw their cash they’re blocked from doing so and told they need to pay a large fee to release the funds.
This might be in the form of a tax or brokers fee, but either way the charge is part of the scam and designed to fleece more money out of victims. At no point will any money be returned.
The Apex Wealth platform is designed to resemble a genuine trading platform but in reality it’s a cookie cutter design that’s been hastily created from a template.
There is none of the regulatory information present, nor is there any information about the team or where they’re based. Also, there are no social media channels, or apps.
Other red flags include: a domain name that was registered very recently, poor quality content that’s clearly been copied from other platforms and false claims about the services on offer.
Our verdict: Avoid this platform at all costs and do not send any money to anyone involved with it.
