The rewards for staking rewards program period 1 is now live. The SRP period 2 has also begun.

Wormhole airdrop claim ended​

1. The Wormhole airdrop claim has ended.
2. Users were able to review their airdrop eligibility by connecting wallets.
3. Users who participated in Wormhole ecosystem chains, applications, or the community for almost three years were eligible for the airdrop.
4. Wormhole Discord users, various NFT communities, Monad community, and the top 10,000 Pyth stakers wee also eligible.
5. Several factors were checked to determine the eligibility, including the length of their engagement with the Wormhole protocol, the cumulative volume of messages and transfers, and consistency of use throughout the protocol’s lifespan, as well as participation in applications within the ecosystem.
6. The snapshot was taken on February 6, 2024, at 23:59 UTC.
7. Magpie users who have engaged in cross-chain swaps using the Magpie dApp, with a total volume of $5,000 or higher, were also eligible for the airdrop.

Wormhole staking rewards program 2 begins​

The Wormhole Staking Rewards Program (SRP) has released its first round of rewards, with over 50,000,000 W tokens allocated to eligible stakers. These rewards recognize the contributions of token holders who staked their W for governance on EVM chains and Solana during SRP Period 1, which ran from June 10, 2024, to the snapshot date of January 8, 2025, at 00:00 UTC.

A total of 58,415 addresses have qualified for rewards, marking a significant milestone in Wormhole’s efforts to incentivize participation and governance.

4. Eligible participants can now claim their SRP Period 1 rewards via the W Dashboard.

Rewards Qualification Framework​

EVM Chains​

• Eligibility Criteria: Users must have delegated W to a non-null address during SRP Period 1.
• Rewards Calculation:
  • Rewards are based on the product of W holdings and days staked (W x days).
  • Users must have accrued at least 25,000 W x days to qualify.
  • Example: Holding 1,000 W for 100 days equals 100,000 W x days.
• Additional Rewards: Users who claimed the Discord “Steakorrrs” role receive an additional fixed reward.

Solana​

• Eligibility Criteria: Users must have staked W through the designated program between December 4, 2024, and January 8, 2025.
• Rewards Calculation:
  • Fixed rewards for maintaining a minimum balance of 100 W.
  • Additional rewards for users who accrued at least 25,000 W x days during the staking period.
